Hi, I decided to write this short post to keep you all updated on the project status. First of all, qBittorrent project is happy to welcome a new developper : Arnaud Demaiziere (French student in IT, same university as me), who will help me coding new features and fix bugs :) He already implemented "Autocompletion in search engine" yesterday and he is now working on RSS Feeds support. Myself, I'm rewriting a big part of the code in order to improve it and split the graphical user interface from the bittorrent part. This way, qBittorrent should be able to run "headless" (without GUI) in next releases. I'm also doing some research on uPnP support. As you can see, we are working hard on next release (v0.9.0). It will be based on Qt 4.2 and libtorrent v0.12. We already coded a lot of new interesting features in SVN like uTorrent Peer eXchange (PeX) support, full/partial sources number display in download list, Closing to systemtray, better communication between qBT instances (socket), new trayicon from Qt 4.2, lot of code rewriting to lower memory/cpu usage, loads of bug fixes. Peerkoel is also working on porting qBittorrent to Windows and we are hoping that v0.9.0 will be available on Linux / MacOS X / Windows systems. We will probably release qBittorrent v0.9.0 as soon as libtorrent v0.12 final is released. Hopefully, you won't have to way long. For the people who can't way, just try SVN ;) |

I'll make a short break in qBittorrent development, until January 20th. This is due to the Christmas/New Year holiday and the exams just after the holidays. I'll go back (intensively) to qBittorrent development after that. Thank you guys for your comprehension. |

Hi all, qBittorrent v0.8.0 was just released. It has been tested for a longer time than previous releases to ensure that it doesn't have any critical bug. qBittorrent is getting more stable & featurefull everyday. We really hope that you will like this new release. Changelog: - FEATURE: Added a torrent addition dialog
- FEATURE: Allow user to change DHT port
- FEATURE: Added an action to remove files from download list and hard drive too
- FEATURE: Rewritten intensively options code
- FEATURE: Remember GUI settings in a cleaner way on restart
- I18N: Added Finnish translation
- I18N: Improved Italian translation a lot
- BUGFIX: Enabled debug with Qt 4.2.1 too because Trolltech didn't fix their bug yet
- BUGFIX: Fixed layout in torrent properties
- BUGFIX: Made right click menu work for multiple selection in DL list
- BUGFIX: Fixed utf-8 support in paths and filenames
- BUGFIX: Could only listen on the first IP of the given range
- COSMETIC: Connection status in toolBar is not clickable anymore
- COSMETIC: Displaying save path in torrent properties window
- COSMETIC: Reworked options window a little
- COSMETIC: Remember mainwindow position during last execution
It is available in download section. Debian/Ubuntu packages are already available. Mandriva packages should be available soon. Note: This release is still based on libtorrent v0.11 and Qt >= 4.1. |

Hi all, Arvid Norberg finally released the final version of libtorrent v0.11. This version is required since qBittorrent v0.7.0 and it will be the one required for next qBittorrent v0.8.x. Please update your libtorrent if you are using a release candidate to get the last bug fixes. qBittorrent v0.8.0 is going to be released very soon : I'm just waiting for the translators to send me their updates :) |

Hi all, Just a smal news to tell you that next release of qBittorrent (v0.8.0) is not far from ready but I'll make a short break in development : 1 week and a half. This is due to the fact that I'm taking some holidays in Czech republic and that I'll have my mid-term exams just after. I'm sorry about that but you won't have to wait too long for v0.8.0 : I promess :) In the meantime, don't hesitate to test SVN. |

Hi all, I programmed a lot these days and qBittorrent v0.8.0 progressed quite fast. I hope I will be able to release it quite soon. Here is the temporary changelog: - FEATURE: Added a torrent addition dialog
